Attention All VOX Residentsâ€â€FLASH MOB PARTYâ€â€You’re Invited!
It’s an online flash mob, a mixer, a cyber hang, a test of our VOX networking strength, A PARTY AT MY PLACE, and you’re invited.
This coming Saturday, October 28, I’ll be hosting an online “get together” here at Walkabout. Come whenever you can, meet some new people, enjoy some good conversation and watch the crowd build.
Fame and honor for the best “costume” and best joke. Yes, we’ll have a DJ! See below for details.
Here’s how it works …
1. Mark the “party” on your calendar so you remember to get online and come by.
2. Between now and Saturday invite as many people from your own network of friends as you can; Voxtropolitans, Xangans, MySpacers, anyone, it’s all good. Make a post of your own that links to this invitation or send out emails to everyone you can think of inviting. Be sure to ask them to do the same.
3. On Saturday, look for the party post here on Walkabout and “drop in” for some good conversation. Stay as long as you’d like (all you have to do is refresh your screen to stay in the conversation) but at the very least leave a comment so your attendance will be noted.
4. Our goal is to see just how many of us we can get together at one time, in one place, and also make some great new connections.
5. Wear a costume if you can! Create a temporary avatar for the party. Fame and honor shall go to the best costume.
6. Fame and honor for the best joke of the day!
7. Yes, there’ll be a DJ. You’ll just have to come and see how we pull that one off.
8. We’re expecting some great new friends as well as some famous VOXers to be dropping by. Don’t miss it.
